WHAT IF...THERE WAS NO LIGHT"?

“What if...?” That’s the way one of the songs of Coldplay, one of my favorite groups, begins. This is the reason my blog is called “What if?”. In this blog I want to talk about sustainable fashion, which is so fashionable right now. I find that using the name of a song from Coldplay is somehow appropriate, since this group is so committed to the environment.

Here you have the video clip of the song, taken from Youtube:

In 2002, this group hired a company to plant 10,000 trees in India as a contribution to the CO2 emissions generated by the production of its discs. Coldplay is the owner of ClientEarth, which provides legal support for compliance of environmental laws.

Many other music groups also wanted to commit to the environment but, specifically, I’m going to show the fashion brand "Edun", that spelled backwards, is “nude” suggesting the naturalness.

This fashion brand was founded by Ali Hewson and Bono (the singer of the rock group called U2) in 2005. It was intended to help in Africa through a fair trade.

Hewson said they wanted "to show that you can make a for-profit business where everybody in the chain is treated well.”

The prices of the clothes are quite high because their casual collection clothes are between 45 and 300 dollars. Some T-shirts are made with traditional Inca vegetable inks, and jeans have a poem embroidered inside their pockets.

"I think you should always have a poem in your pocket," Bono said.

I hope you enjoy it with this post an thank you for you time.
